For me, cycling is predominantly focussed around pleasure; it's about the experience and the adventure. Frequency is often driven by the desire to keep fit, but if the parameters aren't right (weather, mood etc), then my motivation levels are often at zero! As a consequence of this years bad weather, I had ashamedly slipped into cycling hibernation, which is where #30daysofbiking rode in to save the day.

Having stumbled across the 30 Days Of Biking site a month back, it presented me with the kind of motivation I was looking for — Bike somewhere every day for 30 days (in April). In their own words "Joining 30 Days of Biking means that even if you’re biking solo, you’re never alone. We’re cheering you on from all around the globe." For me it was purely about the commitment; signing up to something and seeing it through. 16 days in and I've managed to stay true to the pledge, regardless of weather, work and other commitments — A pledge I'm determined to see through to the end.

Registration for 30 Days of Biking 2013 has now closed. However, you can still participate by posting on their Facebook page, tweeting with #30daysofbiking, or blogging to your heart’s content. Above you will see some iPhone snaps from my personal 30 Days Of Biking adventure.

In 2007 Dani Foffa started working on vintage bikes from his tiny flat, whilst keeping his day job in the City. In 2009 he quit his job and took a risk to follow his passion, teaming up with photographer Tyson Sadlo to create Foffa Bikes. They then opened a shop in East London along with a group of passionate cyclist friends.

Since then, Foffa Bikes have launched 4 customisable models, along with a range of high quality parts. You can purchase the 'Gears', the single speed 'Prima', the women's 'Grazia' and the urban concept 'Ciao'  from their Pinchin St showroom, online or through these selected stockists. We would like to thank Dani again for submitting his cycle route, and generally taking the time to assist us with this feature.

Quote: "The more I’ve learn about road cycling, its long heritage, the legends and their stories, the more I became frustrated by cycling clothing in Brazil. The lack of uniqueness frustrated me. From a rider’s point of view, most Brazilian companies have no style and poor quality manufacturing. With very few exceptions they are copies of professional teams, or bad graphics in bright colors...

...With Kirschner, we wanted to offer a technical product that we would recommend for hard cycling, coupled with the aesthetics of something we wanted to wear. Quality, function and thoughtful design."
